When you meet someone you immediately know they will fit right into your family! Brittany, my personal assistant, blogger, social media guru, and friend is amazing and our personal life saver! She is full of life, joy, and intelligence! She works our behind the scenes aspect as well as being our favorite little model and blogger! She is currently stationed in Athens, GA where she is getting her masters in Public Administration, but also running our whole social media side of our business! She rocks and we couldn't live without her! She makes our loads lighter and excels at what she does!
When are you happiest?
When I get to see my family; living in Georgia makes it hard, so I love when I get to go back and see everyone for a few days.
What celebrity would you like to meet at Starbucks for a cup of coffee?
Does a historical figure count? If I could I would meet Mary Dennett- women’s leader in the late 1880s! No one knows who she is, but she’s pretty much the woman I strive to be everyday.
Y’all I have way too many (blame my history obsession) but my top three are:
“It is a far, far better thing than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known.” - Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities
“An unexamined life is not worth living.” - Socrates
"There are people in every time and every land who want to stop history in its tracks. They fear the future, mistrust the present, and invoke the security of a comfortable past which, in fact, never existed." - Bobby Kennedy
What are three career lessons you’ve learned from working at YBF?
Let the creativity come, don’t force it; Don’t procrastinate; Always be willing to try new things
Since YBF focuses heavily on brands that give back, what is the charity closest to your heart?
National Eating Disorder Association. After struggling with bulimia, my heart goes out to NEDA for helping young women and men struggling with eating disorders and pushing influential legislation through Congress.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?
Right now, the number one place on my list is Istanbul, Turkey. I’ve been dying to see the Blue Mosque for years, so my next big trip will be there.
