Sweaters, Scarves, and Suede... Oh My!

Since it's the first week with the blog up and running, I thought I'd give you the low-down on what's gonna happen on here! Each week, most likely on Fridays, I'll be posting an "outfit of the week" post. This will feature our brand new styles mixed with old favorites and anything else I can think of that I think would make perfect outfits for any occasion. I'm going to try and make sure to do at least one formal, casual, and going out outfit each month, but if you guys have anything you'd like to see or anything you want more of PLEASE let me know. Seriously. Blogging is so much more fun when I get to your all of your feedback. It makes the blog better and the shoppe better too if we know what you guys like and dislike.

This week, I went for a more casual look. Temps are below normal here in SD, and I'm missing my warm, GA home right now (hence the Wizard of Oz reference in the title). So, I thought what better way to warm my heart up than with the basics: a sweater, scarf, and suede booties. This pieces are staples in any women's wardrobe this season, so I'm sharing some of my favorites with you today.

This Bishop and Young slouchy sweater is worth every penny because of its timeless look. Who doesn't love a high quality white sweater thats going to last? It's so soft, and there's a slight high-low, making it great for wearing with leggings.* Even better is it would be perfect for summer nights paired with a lacy bralette and shorts. I love sweaters I can transition into multiple seasons. The fabric is also perfect for traveling because it's not too thick meaning it'll pack well and you can dress it up or down depending on the occassion.

If you're looking for other pieces to transition into spring and summer, these Jacob Davis jeans and fringe booties are a MUST. The jeans are super comfy, and even though boot cuts and flares are coming back, I still love a good skinny. Especially to wear with booties or riding boots in the winter months, and to cuff and wear with sandals during the warmer months.

Usually, I'm not a huge fringe person, but these boots had me sold the first time I put them on. I seriously LOVE them. There's just enough fringe, and the color is perfect to wear with anything. I envision them in the summer with cute dresses, and in the fall with lots of layeys including flannels, blanket scarves, and quilted vests.

You can shop all of these pieces in the shoppe or give YBF a call at 605-361-9229 to have them hold any of the pieces for you! The sweater and jeans are 20% off  and the adorable hat and scarf are 30% off, so stop in!

Outfit Brands: Bishop and Young; The Giving Keys; Jacob Davis; Matisse Footwear

*I'm 6' tall, so the sweater isn't quite long enough for me to wear with leggings alone, but I would layer a longer cami underneath. If you're shorter, you can definitely pull the sweater off with just leggings!

-xoxo,
Brittany
